Nova Swimwear is an Australian performance swimwear company producing high quality training and competition suits for swimmers of all levels. Their products are designed and manufactured in Australia, offering chlorine resistant fabrics, durable construction, and size inclusive designs for adults and children. They supply clubs, schools, surf lifesaving groups, and competitive swimmers across the country.

Background

When Nova contacted us, their social media channels had stopped growing for several years. The previous assistant had maxed out Instagram’s follow limit at 7500 and followed audiences from unrelated countries. Engagement was low, growth was impossible, and there was no content library to work with.

The existing audience was filled with irrelevant overseas accounts. The brand had no usable images and no visual style. With the account stuck at the follow limit and no content to post, Nova could not reach their core Australian customer base or grow organically.

Solution: Rebuild the Audience and Rebuild the Content from Scratch

Over a ten week period, we carefully repaired the account. We unfollowed irrelevant profiles, followed new potential customers in the correct demographic, and rebuilt the entire audience so the platform would recognise and push content to users who were likely to buy.

Because Nova had no content library, every image in the feed was created manually. We transformed basic shop photos into underwater visuals, poolside imagery, beach scenes, and competitive swim edits. This approach replaced the need for professional photo shoots and saved the company more than ten thousand dollars.

Homepage and Google Ads Optimisation

We also overhauled Nova’s homepage by analysing their Google Ads data and identifying the products customers were actively searching for. We moved those products to the front of the homepage to remove friction and make it easier for buyers to find and purchase what they wanted. After restructuring key sections and improving clarity, Nova’s conversion rate increased from2.72 percent to 3.16 percent. We also optimised their Google Ads account by refining keywords, improving ad relevance, and tightening bidding strategy. This delivered stronger click growth, higher shopping cart activity, and far more efficient spend.

Audience Quality: Now 100 Percent Targeted to Australia

One of the strongest wins was correcting the audience. Nova’s following is now almost entirely Australian, matching their market and improving both organic and paid performance. Random overseas followers have been removed, creating a clean foundation for long term growth.

LinkedIn was added as a secondary growth platform to support Nova’s B2B business, including bulk uniform orders and club partnerships. Within the growth period we achieved:

Content Creation Without a Photographer

With no visual assets available, we created every image from scratch. Using advanced editing and colour correction, we converted simple studio shots into dynamic underwater scenes, competitive swim edits, and beach themed posts. This gave Nova a professional gallery without the cost of hiring models, photographers, or studios.
